How do I get started with my greenhouse?

Getting started is easy! After your initial consultation, we’ll help you develop a plan based on your space, climate, and goals. We provide step-by-step guidance to ensure you have everything needed for successful growing.

Do you offer consultations for existing greenhouses?

Yes! We’re happy to evaluate your current setup and provide recommendations for improvements or optimization. Contact us to schedule an assessment consultation.

      Plant Selection & Care

What plants are best for beginners?

We recommend starting with hardy, forgiving plants like lettuce and herbs (basil, mint, parsley), plus other leafy greens. These require minimal maintenance while you build your gardening confidence.

What if my plants aren’t thriving?

Don’t worry—plant problems are part of the learning process. Contact us with photos and a description of the issue, and our plant specialists will help diagnose and solve the problem.

Can I grow vegetables year-round in my greenhouse?

In most cases, yes. One of the primary benefits of a greenhouse is extended growing seasons. With proper temperature control and plant selection, you can enjoy fresh produce throughout the year.

      Greenhouse Management

How do I control pests in my greenhouse?

We recommend an integrated pest management approach, starting with prevention through proper sanitation and plant spacing. We offer both organic and conventional pest control solutions tailored to your preferences and needs.

How do I regulate temperature in my greenhouse?

Temperature regulation involves a combination of ventilation, shading, and sometimes heating systems. During onboarding, we help you set up the appropriate systems for your climate and greenhouse design.

        Vertical Farming Setup

        What is vertical farming?

Vertical farming is a technique that grows crops vertically, often incorporating controlled-environment agriculture technology. This space-efficient method can maximize yield in limited areas.

What equipment do I need to start a vertical farm?

Basic setups require grow walls or racks, appropriate lighting (usually LED grow lights), a nursery station, and growing supplies (medium, nutrients, timers, and monitors). We help customize your equipment list based on your specific goals.

Which crops are best suited for vertical farming?

Leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, kale), herbs, microgreens, strawberries, and certain vine crops perform exceptionally well in vertical systems. These plants have relatively short growth cycles and thrive in controlled environments.

How much space do I need for a vertical farm?

One advantage of vertical farming is its space efficiency. Systems can be scaled from small home setups (as little as a few square feet) to commercial operations. We can help design a system that optimizes your available space. For a commercial setup you require about 54 ft² of space.

What are the energy requirements for vertical farming?

Vertical farms typically require electricity for lighting, pumps, and climate control. The exact energy consumption depends on the scale, crops, and technologies used. We offer guidance on energy-efficient options and potential solar integration to reduce costs.
