37 North farms is a start-up commercial scale vertical farm located in Treherne Manitoba. Little Greenhouse provided this group with a design concept, rental equipment and on-going customer support, to ensure their successful in creating their business!
From Concept to Production
It took 37 North Farms approximately 3 months to learn how to grow indoors, advertise, secure buyers and officially sell produce. After one month of selling produce, one of the grocery stores completely stopped purchasing imported lettuce! This is a perfect example of a feasible small scale commercial vertical farming operation.
